In an animated video for ”Put the Lights on the Tree,” the Brooklyn-based folk-rocker Sufjan Stevens celebrates Christmas in typically quirky-cute fashion. A girl’s journey to see her lonely grandmother involves cheerleaders, a swan-drawn sleigh and a firing squad of toy guns. Mr. Stevens presents the grandma a palm-sized baby Jesus and, naturally, the holiday is saved. The clip, by Tom Eaton, comes with the boxed set ”Songs for Christmas” (due Tuesday on Asthmatic Kitty Records), which features 42 tracks of classics and original songs like ”Did I Make You Cry on Christmas Day? (Well, You Deserved It!)”
