    Mr. Stevens,
I am sitting her on Christmas with my sister in law and we were very saddened to hear you are not planning to get through the 50 states project. I personally was really looking foward to Oregon. Maybe you should just do like one more, and make it Oregon. Love your music and your way of thinking. As long as you keep making music I will continue to listen. If you ever need a djembe player i’m your guy.

Sufjan, my roommates showed me your music and I listen to it all the time now. I was so excited to learn that someone with a lot of musical talent was making an album for each of the 50 states, just to be crushed by the realization that it was all a gimmick. So many people still want you to at least do some of the states, maybe just the more interesting ones. But please, please don’t give up on the idea. In fact, it’s one of the most original ideas I’ve ever heard of concerning a concept album. That’s one of the main reasons I listen to you so much. No matter how many states there are, each one is so different that the concept will never become cliche. Please do at least a few more.
